Green Snoqualmie Partnership Orientation and Training

March 4, 2017, 1:00 am - 4:00 am

Description

Join us at our first-ever training and orientation. In this hands-on session, we will introduce our 20-year plan, discuss our approach to forest restoration and management, teach about native forest ecosystems and their benefits to Snoqualmie, and go over how you can get involved, whether as a community leader, or as an occasional volunteer. This is a great way to get to know your neighbors and make a huge impact in your community.

Snoqualmie has always had a very special relationship with its forests. The over 1,000 acres of forested land within the city not only make Snoqualmie a beautiful place to live, but also provide a number of economic and health benefits to our community. However, in order to stay healthy and thriving into the future, Snoqualmie’s forests require a significant amount of management. Last year, Forterra the city, regional organizations, businesses, and citizens came together to form the Green Snoqualmie Partnership to restore and maintain Snoqualmie’s forests. Join us in our effort to keep Snoqualmie’s forests healthy!
