Kids Garden Tour at Oxbow

October 28, 2017, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Description

Want to see your favorite grocery store produce in its natural habitat?

Bring your family out for the Snoqualmie Valley Adventure Family Nature Club visit to Oxbow! Join us for a Fall Farm Adventure where we’ll tour the Kids’ Farm and embark on a 6 Plant Part scavenger hunt, while also learning what the plants are busy doing in the fall and the important critters who help our food grow.

This guided farm adventure will take families through our Kids’ Farm field on a scavenger hunt for the six plant parts—roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. When we find the plant parts, we learn about their function, then harvest and eat them! Families tour the Kids’ Farm with an Oxbow farmer educator and each family will take home a sugar pie pumpkin with a recipe.
