Restoration at Middle Fork Natural Area

March 24, 2018, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Description

Volunteers will be focused on removing invasive black berries to make room for native tree plantings. Volunteers can expect to be impressed by the valley views and by the positive impact they will have on the Middle Fork Natural Area.

Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust is partnering with King County Parks to restore a native conifer canopy along the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River by removing invasive species that have been introduced to the area via cars, hikers, construction, etc. With increased traffic to the valley, it is more important than ever to remove invasive species from the area before they can establish.
